System 1 is now built! That is not to say that it is complete, but the bare minimum amount of parts to have it be functional have been assembled, and it did not take very long at all; maybe 4 hours or so. I could not find any nice 1uf ceramic capacitors so I had to use some bulky electrolytic ones, but I will eventually replace the max232 with a max202 which will use 100nf capacitors, which I was able to find. (It was actually cheaper to buy the max202 than buy the correct capacitors!)
Now its time to write a suitable Hello World program...
